850 kva Generator radiator arrived at the factory this week for re-furbishment, originally manufactured by Bearward in 1989, it’s owners decided they really couldn’t do without power on the farm this winter. So thinking in advance, they decided to overhaul the only thing that keeps the generator engine cool – the radiator.
It’s all too easy to think that because the engine is overheating there must be a problem with the engine itself, but in most cases it usually comes down to the radiator itself being tired, choked up or loss of cooling fins causing the radiator to have a detrimental heat transfer effect compared to when it was new.
